we have to find the angle made by F with x - axis where F = (2i + 2j) N.

solution : let θ is the angle made by F with x - axis.

using formula, tanθ = y/x

where y = component of force along y - axis = 2

x = component of force along x - axis = 2

so, tanθ = 2/2 = 1 = tan45°

⇒θ = 45°

Therefore the angle made by F with x - axis is 45°
