Answer:

given that f is a identity function

f(x)=x

therefore f(1)=1 2f(2)=2x2=4 f(3)=3

The answer is 0.

Given

f is an identity function

To Find

Value of f(1) - 2f(2) + f(3)

We know that an identity function is such a function that returns back the same value.

This means that f(1) = 1, f(2) = 2..... f(n) = n

Therefore,

f(1) = 1

2f(2) = 2 X 2 = 4

f(3) = 3

Putting this in the given expression

f(1) - 2f(2) + f(3)

= 1 - 2X2 + 3

= 1 - 4 + 3

= 0

Therefore, the answer is 0.
