By remainder theorem Since fx when divided by x-1 is 6 X-1=0. => x=1 F(1) = 2*1^4-2*1^3+3*1^2-a*1-b =6 2-2+3-a-b =6 3-(a+b)=6 a+b = -(6-3)=-3

rishabh7: it's by remainder theorem ... even my ans is coming -3 but in book it's written -4
