if y = 2x^3 - 7, then let’s solve for y.

y = 2x^3 - 7

y + 7 = 2x^3

(y + 7)/2 = x^3

[(y + 7)/2]^(1/3) = x

Therefore g(x) = [(x + 7)/2]^(1/3)

If you perform g(f(x)) or f(g(x)) , you will get “x”.
