hey mate :

given here

f(x)= 6x²+x-2

let ,here

alpha =a

beta =b

so,

a and b roots of given polynomial

now,

sum of roots = - coff.of x /coff. of x²

a+b. = -1/6

product of roots = constant part /coff.of x²

ab = -2/6

=-1/3

now,

a/b + b/a

= (a²+b²)/ab

=(a+b)²-2ab /ab

=[(-1/6)²-2× -1/3]/( -1/3)

=[1/36 + 2/3]/(-1/3)

=[(1+24)/36]/(-1/3(

=25/36 ×-3

= -25/12

i hopes its helps u

follow me guess..
