bx + c = 0

bx = -c

x = -c/b

f(x) = ax^2 + bx + c

f(-c/b) = a(-c/b)^2 + b(-c/b) + c

= -ac^2/b^2 + (-c) + c

Remainder = -ac^2/b^2

Step-by-step explanation:

bx+c=0

x= -c/b

therefore,
