Hey there !!

We have

F ( x )   \:  = ax \:  +  \: b \\  \\
we know Zeroes of polynomial can be written as

F ( x )   \:  = 0 \\  \\  = >  ax \:  + b = 0 \\  \\  =  >  x =  \frac{ - b}{a}
Hope this would help you !!
