We have,

f(x) =

 {e}^{x}  + 2x - 1

Putting x = 0, we get

f(0) =  {e}^{0}  + 2  \times 0 - 1 \\  =  > 1 + 0 - 1 \\  =  > 0

Putting x = 1/2, we get

f( \frac{1}{2} ) =  {e}^{ \frac{1}{2} }  + 2 \times  \frac{1}{2}  - 1 \\  =  >  \sqrt{e}  + 1 - 1 \\  =  >  \sqrt{e}

Hence, f(0) = 0 and f(1/2) =

 \sqrt{e}
