f(x) =  {x}^{2}  - 4x + 8  \\ =  {x}^{2} - 4x + 4 + 4 \\  =  ({x - 2})^{2}   + 4

Here,

( {x - 2})^{2}

Is either non -ve number i.e greater than Eq to zero

f(x) \geqslant 0 + 4 \\ f(x) \geqslant 4

RANGE

4 \leqslant f(x) >  \infty
