if f(x)= x^2, find f(1.2)-f(1)/1.2-1​

f(x) = x²

f(1.2) = (1.2)² = 1.44

f(1) = (1)² = 1

Therefore,

[f(1.2)-f(1)]/1.2-1

= (1.44 - 1)/0.2

= 0.44/0.2

= 4.4/2

= 2.2
