HERE IS YOUR ANSWER ,
f(x) = -2x+7
In case of f(x-1) , substitute (x-1) in place of x in the given function.
f(x-1) = - 2( x-1 ) + 7
= + 1 - 2x - 2x + 2 +7
= -4x + 10
From the question ,
f(x) = f(x-1) +5
- 2x + 7 = - 4x + 10 + 5
( gets cancelled out )
-2x +4x = 15 -7
2x = 8
x = 8/2
x = 4
