Answer:

f(x)=x²-4x+3.

f(1)=(1)²-4(1)+3.

=1-4+3.

=-3+3. (Because +×-=- & largest number is important).

=0. (Because -×+=- so, -3+3 will cancel).

f(-1)=(-1)²-4(-1)+3.

=1+4+3. (Because -×-=+).

=8.

f(2)=(2)²-4(2)+3.

=4-8+3.

=-4+3. (Because +×-=- & largest number is important).

=-1. (Because -×+=- & largest number is important).

f(3)=(3)²-4(3)+3.

=9-12+3.

=-3+3. (Because +×-=- & largest number is important).

=0. (Because -×+=- so, -3+3 will cancel).

x²-4x+3=0.

x²-3x-x+3=0.

x(x-3)-1(x-3)=0.

(x-1)(x-3)=0.

x-1=0.

x=1.

x-3=0.

x=3.

I think this is your answer.
