Given,

f(x)=x3+x

To Find,

f(1)+f(2) = ?

Solution,

Given equation, f(x) =x^3 + x

Now putting x=1 in this equation,

f(1) =1^3 + 1\\f(1) =1 + 1\\f(1) = 2

Value of f(1) = 2

Similarly, putting x= 2 in given equation,

f(2) =2^3 + 2\\f(2) =8 + 2\\f(2) = 10

Value of f(2) =10

Therefore, f(1) +f(2) =2 + 10 = 12

Hence, in f(x)=x3+x,  f(1)+f(2) = 12
