Agriculture sector is backbone of the Indian economy.

There are 3 sectors of economy:-

• Agriculture
• Manufactuting
• Service sector

2. GDP (Gross domestic product) is a total value of “goods & services” produced in this 3 sectors within period of 1yr.

3. In indian economy or any other economy all this 3 sectors are interdependent on each other and it is observed that goods & services produced in one sector are directly or indirectly affecting the other one.

I want to give you an example to justify the contribution of agriculture to GDP & it’s impact on other sector:-

Due to “El nino” effect, 2017 monsoon is below average and due to this ‘kharif crops’ get affected as they are dependent on monsoon.

So, “goods & services” produced by agriculture sector are very low this year ( affecting it’s GDP share).

( 56% population in india directly or indirectly dependent on agriculture sector)

and “less production” means “less money”.

So, A majority of peoples this year don’t have enough capital to buy and enjoy the “goods & services” produced by Manufacturing sector and services sector ( affecting this 2 sectors also).

This low “goods & services” produced by agriculture sector leads to bad impact on other 2 sectors
