If first and third terms of an arithmetic progression are 11 and 27 , what is the second term? ​

Answer:

a1 is 11

a3 is 27

so a2 will be ...

a= 11. (1)

a+2d=27. (2)

put value of a from equation (1) to (2)

therefore,

11 + 2d = 27

2d = 16

so, d is 8

then a2 is a + d

I.e. 19
