Law of motion is true in vacume. When a ball is rolling in the ground it will stop beceuse unbalanced external force(friction,gravity etc) applied to the ball and force to stop him. A/c to first law of motion says “an object is in rest or straight motion keep position untill the external force cause to stop” .
