Step-by-step explanation:

Given:-

First term and common difference of an arithmetic sequence are 6 and 8 respectively.

To find:-

Find the 15 th term of the given AP?

Solution:-

First term of the given AP=(a)=6

Common difference of the given AP=(d)=8

We know that

"The nth term of an AP=an=a+(n-1)d".

we have

a=6

d=8

n=15

15 th term=a15=6+(15-1)(8)

=>a15=6+14(8)

=>a15=6+112

=>a15=118

Answer:-

The 15th term of the given AP=118

Used formula:-

  • If the first term and the common difference of an AP are "a" and "d" respectively then the General term or nth term is denoted by"an" and it is defined by a+(n-1)d.
