Answer:

here ,length= (2a+5)

breadth = (a-3)

so, perimeter =28 cm

28cm=2(l+b)

=2(2a+5+a-3)

=2(3a+2)

= 6a+4

now

6a+4=28

6a=24

a=4

hence,length=2×4+5 =13 cm

breadth=4-3=1 cm

therefore

area of rectangle= l× b

13×1=13 cm^2

Answer:

AREA = 13 CM SQUARE

BREADTH = 1CM

LENGTH = 13CM

Step-by-step explanation:

GIVEN:

length= (2a+5)

breadth = (a-3)

perimeter = 28CM

now we know that

perimeter of rectangle = 2(length + breadth)

putting given values

28 = 2[(a-3)+(2a+5)]

28 = 2[a-3+2a+5]

28 = 2[3a+2]

28÷2 = 3a+2

14 = 3a+2

14-2 = 3a

12 = 3a

12÷3 = a

4 = a

a = 4

hence

breadth = a-3

breadth = 4-3

breadth = 1 CM

AND length = 2a+5

length = 2×4+5

therefore length = 13CM

NOW ACCORDING TO QUESTION

AREA OF RECTANGLE = L × B

area of rectangle = 13 × 1

area of rectangle = 13 CM SQUARE
