Answer:

Explanation:

Given fundamental quantities are;

Force----F.

Length--L.

Time----T.

Dimensional formula of mass=?

Soln: Wkt F=m.a—————————→(eq1)

Where, F=force , m=mass, a= acceleration

Hence re-writing the equation-1,

m=F/a ——————————————->(eq2)

Force=F ; acceleration= length/time*time

=> Acceleration =length/(time)²

=> acceleration = [LT-²] I in eq-2;

m= F/a====[F/LT-²]

=> m= [FL-¹T²]

Hence the dimensional formula for mass when force(F),length(L)and time(T) are taken as fundamental quantities is;

……………………..m-> [FL-¹T²]……………
