Required Answer:

Given :-

• Force applied (F) → 120 N

• Area (A) → 3 m²

To calculate :-

• Pressure (P)

Calculation :-

As we know that,

  • P = F/A

Where,

P = Pressure

F = force

A = Area

→ P = 120/3

→ P = 40 Pa

Therefore, the amount of pressure on

the ground is 40 Pa.

Extra Information :

  • SI unit of pressure is Pascal (Pa).

  • More the area will be, less the pressure will be.

  • Less the area will be, more the pressure will be.

  • More the force acting, more the pressure will be.
