Work is defined as the product of force and displacement. W = F.s
Rate of change of displacement with respect to time is velocity. V = s/t => s = V*t
From above two equations: W = F * t * V
From this the dimensional formula of work when force, time and velocity are taken as fundamental quantities is given by [FTV].
