If frequency of light falling on the metal is doubled, the kinetic energy of the emitted electron will also double proportionally whereas the photoelectric current will remain the same. Current will increase when the light amplitude is increased.

Earlier it was predicted that kinetic energy increased with increase in light amplitude and current increased when the frequency was increased. This was done in accordance with the theory of classic physics.
