Given:

  • Greatest common factor of 25 and 1 is 4x+1.

To Find:

  • The value of x .

Concept Used:

  • GCF stands for Greatest Common Factor which is same as HCF or Highest Common Factor.

Answer:

Given that G.C.F (25,1) = 4x + 1.

So , factorisation of 25 and 1 is ,

25 = 5 × 5 = 5² × 1

1 = 1 × 1 .

This implies that 25 and no other common factor than 1 .

Hence G.C.F (25,1) = 1 .

But this is given 4x + 1 ,

Atq ,

⇒4x + 1 = 1 .

⇒ 4x = 1 - 1 .

⇒4x = 0.

⇒ x = 0/4 .

x = 0 .

Hence the value of x is 0.
