➡ g(x)= 3x -2...(1)

So,

✏ g(8)= 3×8 -2

= 24-2

= 22.

✏g(-5)= 3×-5 -2

= -15 - 2

= -17.

So,

➡ g(8)-g(-5)

=22 -(-17)

= 22+17

= 39.

Answer:

The value of g(8) - g(-5) =  39

Step-by-step explanation:

Given,

g(x) = 3x -2

To find,

The value of g(8) - g(-5)

Solution:

The value of g(8) can be calculated by substituting the value of x = 8 in g(x)

Also g(-5) can be calculated by substituting the value of x = -5 in g(x)

g(x) =  3x -2

g(8) = 3×8 - 2

= 24 - 2

= 22

g(8) = 22

g(-5) = 3(-5) - 2

= -15-2

= -17

g(-5) = -17

g(8) - g(-5) = 22 - (-17)

= 22+17

= 39

The value of g(8) - g(-5) =  39
