Answer:
When Ramlal discussed this matter with his wife, she said that if girls were sent to school, no one would marry them. Since Ramlal did not have the courage to disobey the tehsildar, his wife suggested that they should send Bholi to the school.
Bholi is a story written by KA Abbas. It shares a life of girl whose life changes when she receives education.
Sulekha, who was also called Bholi was one of the seven children Ramlal had. Bholi fell from the cot which led to brain damage. This damage caused her to stammer. She also suffered from smallpox that caused pockets on her face. Ramlal and his wife always worried about Bholi thinking about who would marry her.
The Tehsildar sahib came to the village for the school opening ceremony and recommended to Ramlal that he should send Bholi to school. Ramlal's wife did not like that idea. She felt nobody would marry a girl that has been to school. Ramlal did not want to disrespect the Tehsildar and decided to send Bholi to school.
