If glucose is what all plants prepare then how could we get starch ,protein and fat from vegetable food items?

plants not only prepare glucose from the process of photosynthesis but also prepares nitrates which are taken into the plant through the roots where they are converted into different types of amino acids which are further synthesized into proteins in special structures in the cells called ribosomes.
