If a quadratic polynomial has 2 real roots, the graph cuts the x-axis at those roots

Similarly, a cubic polynomial cuts the graph at its roots i.e it will cut the x-axis 3 times and so on

But there can be a polynomial with even degree which has only 2 real roots so it will also cut the x-axis 2 times only
