Given the H+ concentration is 10 ^-4
Using formula,
ph of a solution = -log[H+]
= -log[10^-4]
= -(-4)log10 (As per as rules of the logarithms,logm to the = 4log10 power n = n log m)
Since, log 10=1
Therefore, ph = 4 * 1
= 4
Thus, ph of a solution is 4.
