Applying Bernoulli`s principle

p1 + ρgh1 + 21ρV2  =  p2 + ρgh2 + 21ρv2

p + ρgh + 21ρV2  =  p + 0 + 21ρv2 ,               as h2 = 0 as point 2 is taken as reference point 

gh = 21 ( v2−V2 )                     ........................(2)

from 1st eqn we have  V = av /A  , now put this in 2nd we get 

v2(1−(A2a2))   = 2gh

hence , v2 = 1−(A2a2)2gh = 2gh ( A2−a2A2) 

hence option (C) is correct
