half perimeter = 12.
so full perimeter= 12 ×2= 24
perimeter of square = 4 × side
24 = 4 × side
so side = 24 / 4
= 6
then ,
area= side × side
= 6 × 6
= 36

Answer:36cm²

Step-by-step explanation:  half of the perimeter of a square= 12 cm

                                               full perimeter of a square= 12+12=24cm

                                              Perimeter of  a square=a+a+a+a (or)a×4

                                                                           24cm=4a

                                                                            a=24/6

                                                                            that's why one side=6cm

                                            Area of a square= 6×6

                                                                         =36cm²
