Answer:

Total distance = 7km 800m = 7800m

Width of rectangular stadium = 330m

Length of rectangular stadium = let it be 'L'

No. of rounds made by Hameed = 3

Then,

total distance = no. of rounds × perimeter of rectangular stadium

7800 = 3 × 2(l+b)

7800 = 3 × 2 (L + 330)

7800 = 3 x 2L + 660

7800/3 = 2L + 660

2600 - 660 = 2L

940 = 2L

L = 940/2

L = 470

∴ Length of stadium = 470m

The width of the rectangular stadium is 970 m.

Given:

distance covered by Hammed = 7 km and 800 m

number of rounds covered by Hammed = 3

the width of the rectangular stadium = 330 m

To Find:

the length of the rectangular stadium

Solution:

we know that 1000 m = 1 km

⇒ 800 m = 0.8 km

⇒ 7 km and 800 m = 7.8 km

distance covered in 1 round = 7.8/3 = 2.6 km

⇒ perimeter of the stadium = 2.6 km or 2600 m

let the width of the stadium be w

then, 2(w + 330) = 2600

w + 330 = 1300

w = 970

Thus, the width of the rectangular stadium is 970 m.
