Answer:

HCF(28,44) = 4

now,

HCF OF 28 AND 44 CAN BE WRITTEN AS::::::::

44 = 28 ×1 + 16

28 = 16×1 + 12

16 = 12×1 + 4

12 = 4×3 + 0

NOW,

LETS START FROM THE EQUATION WHICH ENDS WITH 4 AS 4 IS THE HCF

HENCE,

4 = 16 -12×1

4 = 16-(28-16)

4= 16-(28-(44-28)

4= 16-28+44-28

4= 16 -28(2) + 44(1)

4= (44-28)-28(2)+44(1)

4= -28(3) + 44(2)

4 = 28(-3) + 44(2)

THEREFORE, VALUE OF ::::::

X = -3

Y = 2
