The LCM of the given numbers a and b is 125

Given

  • HCF of a,b=12
  • a×b=1500

To find

  • LCM of a,b

Solution

we are provided with the HCF of two numbers as well the product of two numbers namely A and B and are asked to find the LCM of the same numbers.

it could be estimated by substituting the given values in the relation connecting HCF, LCM and product of the numbers.

the relation connecting all these,

LCM × HCF = a × b

or, 12 × LCM = 1500

or, LCM = 1500/12

or, LCM = 125

Therefore, the LCM of the given numbers a and b is 125
