Given :

  • HCF of two numbers a and b = 12

  • product of the numbers = 1800 (a x b =1800)

To find :

  • LCM of the numbers

Formula used :

LCM  \times HCF = product \: of \: two \: numbers

Solution :

To find LCM we will the given formula :-

\implies \: LCM  \times HCF = product \: of \: two \: numbers

\implies \: LCM  \times HCF =a \times b

Put :-

  • HCF = 12
  • a×b = 1800

\implies \: LCM  \times12  =1800

\implies \: LCM    = \dfrac{1800}{12}

\implies \: LCM    = \dfrac{900}{6}

\implies \: LCM    = \dfrac{300}{2}

\implies \: LCM    = \dfrac{150}{1}

Answer :

If HCM (a,b) =12 and a x b =1800, then LCM (a,b) is 150 .

Given ,

  • HCF (a,b) = 12
  • a × b = 1800

We know that , the relationship between the HCF and LCM of two number

 \boxed{ \tt{LCM \: ( a,b) =  \frac{a  \times b}{HCF \: (a,b)}  }}

Thus ,

LCM (a,b) = 1800/2

LCM (a,b) = 900

Therefore , the LCM of two number i.e a and b is 900
