Maximum of the organs in our body, whether it is brain, heart, kidney etc. get differentiated in very early ages and they remain that way, their cells showing very less potential to divide.
There exists no such condition that cells of an organ must divide in order to stay alive. Neurons, which make the nervous system, almost don't have any potential to divide and still it is living.
So, organs can exist in a non-dividing cell state and still be living. Apart from that, cell repair mechanism exists in almost all major organs which helps in damage control.
