If height and radius are h and r respectively and it is given that height of the cone is same as diameter of the base , then find the slant height.

Hey


Given that :-



Radius = r


Height = h


Also given that ,


height = diameter


So ,

h = 2r ––– ( i )


Now ,


Slant height =


√ ( height ) ²+ ( radius ) ²



= √ ( h ) ² + ( r ) ²


= √ ( 2r ) ² + ( r ) ²


= √ 4r² + r²


= √ 5r²


= r √ 5 .
