$4 {x}^{2} = {x}^{2} + 36$

$3 {x}^{2} = 36$

${x}^{2} = \frac{36}{ 3}$

${x}^{2} = 12$

$x = \sqrt{12}$

$x = 3.46$

Side = 2x

$= 2 \times 3.46$

$= 6.92 \: cm$

$approx \: 7 \: cm$
