. Area = √34×(12√3)2=12√3=12×1.73=20.76 sq. cm.

As the triangle is equilateral all sides are equal as well as all three heights with respect to sides are also equal. Alternatively, we can find the side of a given equilateral triangle, if its height is given

According to question:

 {h}^{2}  =  {b}^{2}  +  {p}^{2}

 {(2x)}^{2}  =  {(x)}^{2}  +  {(6)}^{2}

4 {x}^{2}  =  {x}^{2}  + 36

4 {x}^{2}  -  {x}^{2}  = 36

3 {x}^{2}  = 36

 {x}^{2}  =  \frac{36}{ 3}

 {x}^{2}  = 12

x =  \sqrt{12}

x = 3.46

Side = 2x

 = 2 \times 3.46

 = 6.92 \: cm

approx \: 7 \: cm
