Radii of cone =  2 × Radii of sphere

Given:

If height of the sphere and slant height of the cone are equal.

They have equal surface areas.

To find:

Then find the ratio of their radii.

Formula used:

Surface areas of cone = \pi× radii × slant height

Surface areas of sphere = 4 × \pi× radii²

Height of sphere = 2 × radii

Hence,

Surface areas of sphere = 2 × \pi× radii of sphere × Height of sphere

From given data surface area of cone and sphere are equal

      \pi× radii × slant height = 2 × \pi× radii of sphere × Height of sphere

Slant height is equal to height of sphere.

Radii of cone =  2 × Radii of sphere
