Human blood contains hemoglobin, which is a complex protein molecule in red bloodcells. ... The iron reacts with oxygen, giving blood its red color.

Although veins appear blue through the skin, blood is not blue.

The reason why veins might seem to be blue may have to do with the level of oxygen in the blood.

While many animals are unable to synthesize carotenoid pigments to create red andyellow surfaces, the green and blue colors of bird feathers and insect carapaces are usually not produced by pigments at all, but by structural coloration

hey mate here's your answer...⬇

➡it depends on the pigment present in there blood, since humans have haemoglobin so it imparts reddish colour to the blood.

some animals also have a pigment called haemocyanin which imparts the bluish colour to the blood. example of such creature is octopus, lobster,etc..

hope it helps you:)
