If hydrogen is less reactive than iron, why is it that hydrogen is able to displace iron from iron(III) oxide?

This is not a displacement reaction.

This reaction occurs ar very high temperature( >1000 oC) in specific conditions and in this condition, Fe2O3 decomposes and metal is extracted, remaining oxygen reacts with hydrogen and forms water.
