if i add 3/8 to 1/8 of a number i will get 0. find the number?

 \frac{3}{8}  +  \frac{1}{8}  = 0 \\  \\  =  >  \frac{3 + 1}{8}  = 0 \\  \\  =  >  \frac{4}{8}  = 0 \\  \\   = > 4 = 0 \times 8 \\ \\   =  > 4 = 0

Let the number be x

Therefore,

x \times  \frac{1}{8}  +  \frac{3}{8}  = 0 \\ \\  or \:  \frac{x}{8}  +  \frac{3}{8}  = 0 \\ \\  or \:  \frac{x + 3}{8}  = 0 \\  \\ or \: x + 3 = 0 \times 8 = 0 \\  \\ or \: x = 0 - 3 =  - 3

The number is --3

Verification :

 -  \frac{3}{8}  +  \frac{3}{8}  \\  \\  =  \frac{ - 3 + 3}{8}  \\  \\  =  \frac{0}{8}  = 0
