Question ::-
If I, b and h are the length, breadth and height of a room then what will be the total area of the four walls?
Given ::-
- Length of room = a
- Breadth of room = b
- Height of room = h
To find ::-
- Total area of four walls?
Solution ::-
Room has three dimensions , let the room be cuboid .
Area of four walls = lateral surface area
Lateral surface area
= 2× height ( length+ breadth )
= 2h (l+b)
___________
Let's explore more ::-
• CUBE ::-
- Total Surface Area = 6 × side × side
- Lateral Surface Area = 4 × side × side
• CUBOID ::-
- Total Surface area = 2 (Length x Breadth + breadth x height + Length x height)
- Lateral Surface area = 2 height(length + breadth)
