if i get 200+ out of 300 in jee main... will i get 99+ percentile​

Explanation:

If you want to be in the top 1percentile, your rank should be less than 12,000. Now, since JEE Main marks are normalized, therefore it is difficult to predict the exact score at which you would be in the top 1 percentile. But I guess if you score more than 200 marks.. ...... then you would easily have 99+ percentile......well first of all nobody knows whether the total marks will change or not. so we will work in percentage.

according to the previous marking scheme, 230–240 marks would be sufficient to get into 99+ percentile. That’s roughly 65–67%

But since the paper pattern have changed, I believe there will be some effect on marks.

With number of question reduced, students will get more time and so they will score more.

I would say, around 70% marks should be sufficient to get you into 99+ percentile....

So if the paper is of 300 marks, you should get minimum 200–210 to get to top 1 percentile....
