Unity in diversity, the age old motto has been a testimony to India’s independence since time immemorial. Several leaders and freedom fighters have propagated this ideology; and one such revolutionary was Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. In order to mark the 7th edition of the National Unity Day, celebrated on his birth anniversary, October 31 every year, the Primary wing of The Indian Heights School paid homage to the original Iron Man of India. The children were shown a presentation, narrating his life experiences and accomplishments. As a part of the ‘Ek Bharat Shreshth Bharat’ initiative, led by Shri Narendra Modi, the students were virtually made to take a solemn pledge, encompassing their roles and responsibilities in ensuring the unity and harmony of this nation at all times. The students were briefed by the Headmistress, Ms. Meghana Dungrakoti, on the significance of this historic day through her message on peace and unity building amongst the citizens of this country. The atmosphere certainly turned patriotic with the enthusiastic participation of the young minds
