If I have a string 41 cm long can I make a rectangle using the string completely ? Give reasons.

If a rectangle is made with the string perimeter of the rectangle =length of the string
Perimeter = 2(length+breadth) i.e a multiple of 2 and will be even number
But here length of given string =41 cm
Is odd number
Therefore a rectangle is not possible.

yes we can 41 = 2( l + b ),
therefore 41÷2=l+b,
20.5=l+b,
we can take l&b as anything such as
15+5.5=l+b,
therefore,l=15 &b=5.5
