if I left a dough in the open ,after few days ,it starts giving a foui smell and become unfit for use . give reason

Wheat dough when kept in open for few days, following activities takes place: 1. formation of fungus 2. reproduction of yeast These fungus and yeast when present in dough, it will become unfit for eating or for use. Since formation of fungus takes place in dough, so it gives a foul smell.

If you leave a dough in the open it gives foul odour in a few days because in surroundings there is a presence of moisture which moists the dough which forms the breeding ground for moulds which feed on the dough and gives bad odour Also the dough become inedible.
