it’s the made up name of a real hormone that pregnant women apparently produce, albeit in very tiny amounts. The best of my searching ( after 20+ years as a research librarian) can turn up is that the real thing, which I am deliberately not naming, has some effects on the proper growth of bony structure and form in the fetus. Taken by someone whose bony structure is already formed, especially if they could get the real thing would be catastrophic to the body.
Learn to live with the fact that fiction means NOT REAL, even if it sounds really cool.
