if i save 2/7 of my salary, what fraction of it do i spend?

Let my salary be Rs. x. 

Then,
My Savings = 2/7 of x. 
= 2x/7 

∴ My Expenditure = Salary - Savings. 
   = x - 2x/7
   = (7x - 2x)/7
   = 5x/7 

Hence, the money in the Fraction which I spend is Rs. 5x/7.

Since,
Income -Expenses = Savings
Expenses =  x - (2x/7)
On simplification, we get 
Expenses = (7x - 2x)/7 == 5x/7

Hence,  fraction of money spent = Rs. 5x/7.
