No you cannot write it like that because that's not how squaring works.

(a+b)^{2}  = a^{2} + b^{2}  + 2ab

This is the right equation

Answer:

You can't do that because,

(a + b) {}^{2}  = a {}^{2}  + b {}^{2}  + 2ab

and not

a {}^{2}  + b {}^{2}

Step-by-step explanation:

As we know,

(a + b) {}^{2}  = (a + b) \times (a + b)

Formulating,

a \times (a  + b) + b \times (a + b)

a {}^{2}  + ab \:  + ab + b {}^{2}

 = a {}^{2}  + 2ab + b {}^{2}

Hope you get this!
