The curved surface area of a cylinder = 2πrh

If radius (r) is doubled and height (h) is halved

The curved surface area of a cylinder

=2π×2r×h2

Hence the curved surface area of the cylinder does not change.

initial csa = 2pi r h
new csa = 2 pi r×2 h/2=2 pi r h
hence,
it would be same as the initial csa
